    As a neighbor of the Chesapeake Bay and several of its tributaries, the Naval Academy plays an important role in restoring and protecting the Bay. The Water Program at the Naval Academy ensure full compliance with all laws, such as the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act.

    The Environmental Division and the Energy and Utilities Division of the Public Works Department work closely together to ensure that the Water Treatment Plant and the Waste Water Treatment Plant comply with all Local, State, and Federal regulations.
